His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, will inaugurate a number of projects in Kalba in the upcoming period.

As part of these projects, Sheikh Sultan will distribute next Saturday 41 commercial and residential buildings on the Corniche Street on Emirati owners of the buildings that had been previously rebuilt.

Sheikh Sultan will also inaugurate phase 2 of the Kalba Heritage Market on Wednesday, November 15 and the Souq Al Jubai in the same month.

In January 2024, Sheikh Sultan will inaugurate the Al Hafiya Lake project with all its facilities as well as the Hanging Gardens, while in May next year, he will inaugurate Al Freesh Lake, located at the bottom of Al Freesh Mountain.

In Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan will inaugurate the Al Layyah Water Canal project in early January. The canal is 650 meters long, 60 meters wide and 4-5 meters deep.

The project includes a large number of facilities and services including restaurants, cafés, and shops.

According to a previous statement by Sheikh Sultan, the lake depends on the tidal movement to purify the water of the creek.

This was announced by Mohammed Khalaf via the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.

The Sharjah Housing Programme is working on building 348 housing units as part of the Al Qateena Residential Complex project in the Muhadhab suburb, which are scheduled to be completed in 24 months.
