Neyadi working with Nasa on completing scientific experiments conducted aboard ISS

Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is undergoing a rehabilitation programe at Nasa, Salem Humaid Al Marri, Director General, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre said on X platform on Friday.
Al Neyadi returned to Earth on Monday after completing the longest Arab space mission aboard the International Space Station. He also became the first Arab astronaut to complete a spacewalk.
Salem wrote, “Sultan is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Johnson Space Center with a team from MBRSC under the supervision of Dr. Hanan AlSuwaidi, Flight Surgeon, and NASA's team.
“Additionally, he is working on completing some scientific experiments that he conducted aboard the International Space Station to compare results.
“More updates soon.”
On the other hand, Hazzaa Al Mansoori, the first Emirati astronaut said on X platform, “Following the success of UAE Mission 2 and the safe return of my colleague Sultan, I would like to express my gratitude to all the teams at MBRSC who made this achievement possible.
“Thank you for working tirelessly for the past six months to reach this milestone in the journey of UAE astronauts.
“I would also like to thank the Astronaut Office, Operations team, Communication team, and Science team
“Let us continue to achieve new feats together!”
Neyadi will go through an overall medical check, mostly monitoring the vitals.
A blood test would be drawn to get a thorough analysis of the haematology.
Astronauts usually come across slight problems with eyesight, bone loss, and balancing.
Their skin sometimes reacts to sunlight due to lack of sun exposure at ISS. But this is different for each individual.
Some may face these issues where others may just have difficulty balancing.
