UAE’s non-oil foreign trade sets new record by reaching Dhs1.239 trillion in 6 months, says Sheikh Mohammed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday, said on X platform the UAE’s non-oil foreign trade set a new record by reaching Dhs1.239 trillion in just six months this year

His Highness said, “In a new economic achievement for the UAE, our non-oil foreign trade set a new record by reaching Dhs1.239 trillion in just six months this year.”

He also added, “Our non-oil exports also continued to grow significantly, exceeding in 6 months what we achieved in a full year only five years ago.”

Sheikh Mohammed continued, “The country's non-oil exports with the top 10 global trading partners have increased by 22 per cent this year, and intra-regional trade with Turkey, for example, has risen by 87 per cent in just one year. This emphasis correctness of our balanced, active and positive foreign policies led by President.”

“Our non-oil foreign trade will exceed Dhs2.5 trillion this year. We will achieve our announced target of reaching Dhs4 trillion in 2031,” Sheikh Mohammed added.

He also said, “As we said before, 2023 will be the best economic year in the history of our country.  The country will remain a major player in the international trade to consolidate its position as one of the most important global hubs linking the east of the world with its west and north with its south. The next is better and greater, God willing.”
