Moderate to heavy rain fell on separate areas across the country on Wednesday.
While light rain fell on Nahel Al Ain road, Rakna, Bida Bint Saud and Al Nabbagh, moderate to heavy rains fell on Al Amerah in Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi and other areas.
The lowest temperature of 25.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday at 03:30 am UAE local time.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on motorists to take caution while driving their vehicles during the rainfall and stay away from large puddles and flooded valleys.
Abu Dhabi Police also called on drivers to be cautious due to rainy weather conditions and abide by the variable speed limits as shown on the electronic road signs.
Thursday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast in the morning, according to the NCM.
Some cumulus clouds are likely to form in the east in the afternoon with a chance of rains and a drop in temperature.
The weather, however, will be humid at night and on Friday morning in some northern areas.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to active and sand-stirring at times during the day at 10 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, while the sea will have regular to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf and regular waves in the Sea of Oman.
Friday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast in the morning and a chance for some cumulus clouds to form in the east in the afternoon.
The weather, however, will be humid at night and on Saturday morning in some northern areas with a chance of light fog. The weather, however, will be humid at night and on Sunday morning in some coastal and inland areas with a chance of light fog.
