Sharjah eases parking services for people of determination

The Sharjah Municipality, on Thursday, announced that people of determination can now subscribe in the public parking service by registering their cards issued by various authorities in the country, to the public parking system through the municipality's website, so that these cards become registered with the municipality virtually.
The step aims at enhancing ease of scanning their vehicle plates without the need for placing the card behind windshield.
In this context, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah City Municipality, stressed that the municipality pays great attention to the people of determination, through offering the best services to them and removing any obstacles or difficulties they face, so that they can benefit from the services provided by the municipality.
For his part, Hamed Al Qa’ed, Director of the Public Parking Department, explained that the subscription of people of determination in this service prevents errors that may happen during scanning the plates.
In addition, it eases inspection process through the digital scanning vehicle or inspectors. This helps identify vehicles registered in the public parking system for people of determination efficiently. This is similar to the regular annual subscription system provided by the municipality for customers.
He also called on all individuals, who have people of determination card to necessarily register in the system in order to avoid any difficulties that could happen during inspection or exposure to fine.
To register, visit the municipality’s website, choose electronic and smart services, choose the services of the Public Parking Department, complete the rest of the procedures and upload the required documents.
Registration in the system allows people of determination to benefit from more than 66,000 parking lots in the city of Sharjah, except for parking spaces reserved for commercial establishments, unless the driver of the vehicle is not benefiting from the service it provides.
