First generation 4GB iPhone sells for $190,372 at an auction in US
The First generation 4GB iPhone is on display at the auction house.
The American Auction House LCG announced the sale of a first generation of the iPhone at auction for $190,372.80 that is 400 times its real price of $599, setting a new record for the most expensive iPhone.
The auction house announced that the device, which was released in 2007, with a storage capacity of 4GB, which was sealed from the factory, is a rare device for its limited production, after it stopped its production only two months after its launch, due to the issuance of a new version with a storage capacity of 8GB.
The auction house stated that the phone had an original and flawless appearance, and its primary owner was part of the original engineering team at Apple when the iPhone was launched for the first time. Fans and device lovers will have difficulty finding a better example.
The CEO of the company, Steve Jobs, presented this iPhone in early 2007.
He said: “It will be a revolution in the communications sector, describing the device as magical and very smart.”
The same auction house sold in February a phone of the same model, version 2007 with a storage capacity of 8GB, at a price of $63,356.
