The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that scattered areas in the country will see formation of cumulus clouds over four days from Thursday. This is attributed to the fact that the country is being affected by an extension of a surface low-pressure system from the East, accompanied by an extension of an upper air high pressure, according to the NCM.

As for Thursday’s weather, the NCM expects that it will be fair to partly cloudy and dusty at times. Low clouds may appear over the east coast by the morning with a probability of convective clouds formation eastward by afternoon.

Temperature may tend to decrease, especially westward. It is also expected to be humid by night and on Friday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over some western areas.

The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times westward in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate at times in the Sea of Oman.

According to the expectations of the NCM, the temperatures expected on Thursday will be in the range of 30-41°C in Abu Dhabi, 33-40°C in Dubai, 29-41°C in Sharjah, 32-39°C in Ajman, 28-39°C in Umm Al Quwain, 31-40°C in Ras Al Khaimah, 29-43°C in Fujairah, 29-44°C in Al Ain, 27-44°C in Liwa and 28-38°C in Al Ruwais.

Friday’s weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy. Low clouds may appear over the east coast by the morning with a chance of cumulus clouds formation eastward and southward by the afternoon. Temperature may tend to increase. It could be humid by night and Saturday morning with a probability of mist formation over some coastal areas.

The winds will be light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly, freshening at times during the daytime blowing dust, with a speed of 10 – 25 reaching up to 40 kilometres/hour. The sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman. Almost the same weather conditions will prevail on Saturday and Sunday.
