10 behaviours that are banned on green areas in Sharjah

Sharjah Municipality prohibits the practice of 10 behaviours on green areas in the emirate, in order to ensure the creation of an ideal atmosphere for residents and visitors in the emirate.

The municipality said to deal with transgressions or negative behaviours it will take all administrative and legal measures against the violators.

The municipality said the aim is to enhance the civilised and aesthetic appearance and achieve the happiness and satisfaction of the public.

The municipality has intensified its oversight and awareness and deployed 60 inspectors to monitor the green surfaces, by organising continuous inspection tours, to confirm adherence to laws and guidelines, and to distribute awareness leaflets to urge not to practise any negative practices that distort the public appearance.

The 10 behaviours are:

Throwing waste or leaving it on the grass

Destroying or vandalising any public property

Barbecue and campfire

  Playing ball on the green area

  Bringing animals

  Damage to lawns or flowers

The use of bicycles and motorcycles (their use is limited to the places designated for them)

Smoking shisha

Raising the sounds of recording devices and the like

Camping or sleeping in parks and public places without a permit
