Twitter, Meta among most hated social media platforms in America, says poll

Social media giants are getting the wrong end of the stick from netizens — and there seems to be a good reason for that. Facebook — now known as Meta — was under fire for the way it handled user data.

Even Twitter has got quite a battering – and the Musk of the two Ts, Tesla and Twitter, has apparently been responsible for the popularity of the Net giant going downhill.

Now a good number of Americans hate both Meta and Twitter. The two online stalwarts are among the most hated brands in the United States.

This according to a report in a section of the Indian media, quoting a CNBC news dispatch mentioning the results of a survey.

The Axios Harris Poll 100 says that Elon Musk-helmed Twitter is the fourth most hated brand in the US of A, followed by Meta.

This year's rankings are based on the views of 16,310 Americans.

Popular app TikTok is the seventh most hated brand.

The survey found that both Twitter and Meta scored poorly in the “culture” and “ethics” category.
