Sheikh Sultan approves Dhs100m for all officers and individuals in Sharjah Police

Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, approved Dhs100 million for all officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals in the Sharjah Police (SP), who were included in the promotion decision approved by the Sharjah Executive Council, on Tuesday, provided that it is disbursed retroactively and immediately.

This was announced by the journalist, Muhammad Khalaf, on the “Direct Line” programme, which is broadcast by the Sharjah Radio and Television Authority.

Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said: “The approved amount will be disbursed immediately to the promoted officers with the monthly salary that is expected to be received before July 1, and that those covered by the promotion decision are 205 officers, 506 non-commissioned officers and individuals, and 261 who are eligible for financial promotion.

He detailed the Sharjah Police promotions, and said that 66 officers will be promoted to the rank of colonel, 15 to the same rank with their retirement, 81 will be promoted from lieutenant colonel to colonel, and 62 from major to lieutenant colonel, in addition to promoting 17 to the rank of captain, and 20 to the rank of first lieutenant, from the Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences, 14 will be promoted from lieutenant colonel to colonel, 5 from major to lieutenant colonel, and 6 from first lieutenant to captain.

He explained that 248 of the assistants at the academy deserved a financial promotion, and every deserving one would receive it, saying: 8 of those who were promoted were people with special needs, and 72 were the sons of female citizens working in the leadership.

Stressing that promotions motivate to continue giving, diligence, and exerting efforts in outstanding performance. Raising the highest thanks to the Ruler of Sharjah, and the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, for the humanitarian directives and successive donations.
