Ajman Police arrest murder suspect in just six hours

The Ajman police managed to arrest an Asian man within just six hours of murdering a fellow man. Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at Ajman Police, said the operations room received a call stating that an unpleasant was coming out from a room in one of the workers’ dormitories in the industrial area.

After taking the necessary legal measures, the policemen moved to the site and opened the room to find a body inside. The competent authorities were called to the crime scene and the body was examined and found to belong to an Asian man in his sixties identified as (K.G.K). Following intensive investigations, the suspect was identified as an Asian man in his twenties called (A.K.K), who used to live with the victim, according to the testimony of the witnesses.

The suspect was arrested in Al Karama area in less than six hours after he kept moving across the emirate in an attempt to mislead security officers. On interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime, pleading that there was a quarrel between him and the victim over a financial dispute, adding that the quarrel snowballed when the victim insulted him and his family.

At this point, the suspect hit the victim with a wooden tool and then stabbed him with a knife until he died. Al Nuaimi praised the expertise and skill of the detectives and their quick search during the investigation procedures, which enabled them to catch the perpetrator in record time, calling on the public not to hesitate to report anyone who tries to commit any crime or other offences punishable by law. He also stressed that Ajman police will be on the lookout for and deal firmly with anyone who tries to tamper with the security and safety of citizens and residents.
