The Eid Al Adha holiday in the UAE, like other holidays, is a season for travel and tourism. This year, the holiday falls before the weekend, that means by adding the weekend, residents may get 6 days, and for some it may last for a whole week.

On this basis, families are planning for their grand holiday.

According to the Hijiri calendar, the Eid Al Adha begin from June 27th to June 30th and with the weekend Saturday and Sunday, residents and citizens will get a long six-day holiday.

However, the approach of the summer vacation, which is only a few days away from the Eid holiday, families are hesitant to travel during the Eid holiday, and are waiting for the start of the summer vacation in mid-July.

While travel agency inquiries record a remarkable activity for those who want to travel abroad, hotels are preparing to receive those looking for accommodation in hotels as compensation for travel.

According to spokesmen for one of the travel and tourism agencies, requests for internal reservations come suddenly, and yet they constitute 20% of inquiries at the present time, which is not a simple percentage for travel agencies.

Agencies expect more inquiries as the Eid holidays approach, and inquiries related to weekend bookings are available throughout the year.

Prepare for vacation

Hotels began preparing for the blessed Eid Al-Adha holiday, and quickly offered various offers on hotel rooms, granting a free night for every 4 paid nights, as well as discounts in restaurants and facilities.

A number of hotel managers surveyed by the Gulf expressed their expectations that hotels would record strong occupancy during the Eid Al Adha holiday, even if it is outside the usual peak season, by relying on domestic tourism as well as tourists from abroad to enjoy the warm sun of the Emirates.
