The Dubai Criminal Court jailed an Arab for 3 years and fined him Dhs10,000 on charges of stabbing an Asian, after they quarreled over the priority of having dinner at a fast food restaurant in Al Muraqqabat area in Dubai.

The court also ordered his deportation after serving his jail term,

The details of the case date back to May 2022, when an Asian submitted a report stating that his friend had been stabbed by an Arab in a fast food restaurant, adding that the Arab skipped the queue inside the restaurant and stopped in front of his friend while they were waiting to head to the counter to order meals.

The reporter added that the Arab refused to back down and ignored the victim's request, so a verbal argument broke out between them, after which the Arab pulled a knife, stabbed the victim and fled from the place, so he called for an ambulance, which took him to the hospital.

According to the case file, the victim stated that he was stabbed with a knife by an Arab, after asking him to adhere to the queue and wait behind him until he finished ordering his meal, but the Arab got angry and a verbal altercation broke out, which ended with stabbing.

The forensic laboratory report proved that the victim was stabbed in the abdomen, which led to an injury to the abdominal wall and muscles, with a blood clot in the same place which resulted from stabbing, adding that the treatment required more than twenty days.

A policeman testified in the interrogations that a team of investigators collected inferences from the crime scene and spotted the location of the suspect who was arrested.

Upon interrogation, the suspect denied stabbing the victim, but the latter identified him, so he was referred to court.
