Dubai Metro Red line services resume after a brief technical glitch

Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said that the Dubai Metro Red line services have resumed after a technical glitch that disrupted line in both directions on Wednesday.

The RTA said, “For users of the red line of the Dubai Metro, we inform you that the service will return to its normal condition. Thank you for your cooperation.”

The authorities earlier said, “For #DubaiMetro Red line users, RTA informs you that the Metro service at "Max station" has been disrupted due to a technical issue in both directions, buses have been provided to transport passengers. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

The authorities did not clarify what was the technical issue.  

The Dubai Metro network comprises of Red line and Green line routes, both of which, combined, cover the main populated areas of the Emirate.

Thousands and thousands commuters take the metro on daily basis. The Dubai Metro holds the heart of the transport network the cover most business districts in the Emirate.

The Dubai Metro holds its standing as the world's longest driverless metro project and is known as the flagship project of both the RTA as well as Dubai's public transport network.
