A Chinese woman went into a fit of rage at a hospital and smashed a robot serving patients.
The social media users circulated a video clip, during which a woman appeared, wearing a yellow coat and holding a stick, walking around the robot and waving her hand towards the workers, before hitting the robot.
The accident occurred at Xuzhou University Hospital in Jiangsu Province, and the staff did not succeed in identifying the cause of the woman's anger.
The woman did not stop shouting and directing expressions of blame at the robot, according to local media.
The security personnel grabbed the woman and took her to a room to interrogate her about the incident, before the policemen joined them.
The hospital administration suggested that the angry woman suffers from a mental illness, which prompted her to act in such a hostile manner towards the workers and the robot.
The social media users indicated that hospitals rely on robots to set medical appointments, and the small number of nurses available for patients to talk to, may be the reason behind the woman's anger and smashing the robot.
