Eid this year is certainly an unforgettable occasion for the Nepalese receptionist, as luck sided with Mahzooz to award him a massive Dhs20,000,000 top prize.

The leading UAE weekly draw announces Padam as its latest multi-millionaire who made it big at the 124th weekly draw.

The same draw also awarded Dhs1,000,000 to Sherlon, the 6th guaranteed raffle prize winner following the draw’s recently launched prize structure.

With that, the total number of Mahzooz millionaires reaches 39 in just two years of operation.

To date, over Dhs 407,000,000 has been given away in prize money, to over 236,000 winners, cementing Mahzooz’s position as the leading weekly draw with the highest and most frequent pay-out in the region.

The two new millionaires were not the only ones who celebrated big on April 15th at the 124th weekly draw, as Aboobacker, another fortunate participant bagged the last Ramadan raffle prize of 400 gms of Mahzooz gold coins, as part of the Golden Ramadan promotion.

“Padam is not our first multi-millionaire from Nepal. In 2022, we awarded Dhs10,000,000 to a Nepalese expat and helped him open a bank account to receive the money.

I am very proud to be able to make a significant difference in our participants’ lives, especially those who come to the UAE with modest dreams of earning a few hundred dirhams as a monthly salary” said Farid Samji, CEO of EWINGS, Managing Operator of Mahzooz at the press conference held to announce the winner.

“While credit is added instantly to the accounts of winners of small prizes, our multi-million winners receive their prize money in full, within a period of one month at the latest.

"For winners with modest income who are not used to handling large amounts of money, we not only help them open bank accounts to receive the cash prizes but also advise them to get a professional financial counsel which could potentially help them make sound business and financial decisions” he continued.

Good fortune is said to come to those who least expect it. The Dhs20,000,000 grand prize winner, Padam’s life story is also somewhat similar, who came to the UAE 23 years ago and has been working for the same employer for the past 23 years, initially working as the  employer's house help and then gradually progressing onto the  employer's personal driver.

Padam has demonstrated such loyalty and dedication to his employer that, despite approaching his age limit, he has been allowed to continue working as an office receptionist for the same employer after all these years.

Padam has also been devoted to Mahzooz, and Mahzooz has rewarded him twice for his loyalty! He won Dhs 350 with Mahzooz four months ago, but little did he know that this award was a foreshadowing of an even bigger jackpot of Dhs20,000,000.

Padam watches the live draw every Saturday, but he was unable to see it last Saturday due to a few chores, so he did not realize he had won until he received a call from Mahzooz on Sunday. He initially mistook the call for a joke and did not take it seriously.

However, when he heard the phrase 'Mahzooz,' he thought of checking his Mahzooz account and was astounded to discover that he had won Dhs 20,000,000.

"I am overjoyed and amazed because I did not expect to win such a large sum."

"I set aside Dhs35 each week to participate in Mahzooz, even if it means forsaking one meal for myself at times, because I know this money is being put to good use by Mahzooz. I had previously won with Mahzooz, but I never expected to win their grand prize," remarks the overjoyed family man.

Padam is still coming to terms with his big win, and he hasn't decided how to spend his money yet. He would prefer to utilize a portion of the funds to cover his ailing wife's medical expenses, with the remainder used to pay off his debts and save for his daughter's future education. He would also like to settle down with his family in the UAE, therefore a portion of his fortune will be used to establish a home here as well.

Even after becoming a multi-millionaire, Padam says he would like to continue working for the same company that provided a wonderful life for him and his family. Being the ever committed individual, Padam will also continue to participate with Mahzooz because Mahzooz has transformed his life for the better.

Sherlon, like Padam, Mahzooz's sixth guaranteed raffle draw millionaire, had reason to rejoice his Dhs1,000,000 fortune last Saturday.

Sherlon, a 35-year-old father of a four-month-old infant who works as a radiographer at a private hospital in Dubai, has previously won Dhs35 with Mahzooz twice after participating in the draw for a year so it was only natural for him to be rewarded with Dhs1,000,000.

"I found out I had won Dhs 1,000,000 when I received a call from a friend informing me of my win. My wife answered the phone and couldn't believe it at first. We were overjoyed and pleased to discover that we had won Dhs 1,000,000 when we checked the Mahzooz account later."

By purchasing a Mahzooz bottle of water for Dhs 35 only, every week, participants stand the chance of winning the top prize of Dhs20,000,000, the second prize of Dhs200,000 and third prize of Dhs 250, in addition to a GUARANTEED prize of Dhs1,000,000 in the Raffle Draw.
