A stray cat climbing onto an Imam’s shoulder at a mosque during Taraweeh prayers in Algeria has gone viral on social media platforms.
The video showed the cat entering the mihrab and climbing onto the shoulder of an Algerian imam and licking his face.
The Imam’s treatment towards the feline was humane and netizens have praised the act.
The video showed the cat suddenly appearing near the pulpit and jumping onto the Imam as he was reciting the Quran with a sweet voice during the Taraweeh prayers.
The imam was surprised by the cat climbing up on him but he dealt with it without hindering him from reading the Qur'an, as he embraced the cat before it climbed onto his shoulder and embraced him again as the cat kissed the cheek.
The video won the hearts of millions of people from all over the world.
