Two-year-old boy killed in Ajman road accident

A two-year-old boy known as Rakan Abdullah Ezzat, was killed due to an injury following a run-over accident in Ajman, just before iftar time.

The child's mother posted, on her Instagram, a video clip asking everyone to pray for her little Rakan to recover, after he stayed in the hospital for 3 days, after which he died.

The picture of Rakan, whose family resides in Ajman, went viral on social media platforms.

The mother of the child, Diana Mohammed, said that Rakan was the youngest son after two girls, as the family consists of an Egyptian mother, Diana, a Jordanian father named Abdullah Ezzat, who works as an engineer, and two girls.



Rakan was with his family in the villa they live in, near a main street in the Nuaimiya area of Ajman, and his father went out to fetch some items from the car, while Rakan ran after him without anyone noticing him going out of the house, and his father did not notice him either.

The mother added that the moment Rakan left, a vehicle driven by an Arab national who did not notice the child running on the main street hit him.

He was taken to the hospital.

The mother explained that her son Rakan was wounded in the head, and remained in hospital for 3 days until he died on Monday.

The boy was buried in Ajman cemetery.
