8,478 private companies offer multiple jobs for Emiratis under Nafis system

Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis) revealed the registration of 8,478 private companies currently working in various fields to offer multiple jobs for Emiratis through the program's website, of which 1,461 companies have joined the programme since the beginning of this year, when the number of companies at that time was 7,017, or an average of 20 companies everyday.

The programme indicated that the number of private companies joining during March reached 237, as the number of companies at the end of February was 8,241 companies.

The programme stated that there is a new method of calculating the goals of Emiratisation, as the amendments do not include any additional obligations on companies, nor any amendments to the amounts of financial contributions imposed when the required percentages are not adhered to, and according to the new amendment, contributions are collected on a semi-annual basis, which encourages private sector establishments to employ citizens continuously to achieve Emiratisation goals, instead of waiting until the end of the year.

The authorities indicated that companies with 50 employees or more must achieve an increase of 1% in skilled jobs every 6 months, and reach 2% by the end of the year, and fines will be imposed on companies that do not achieve the goal set for the first half of 2023 begins in July.

The programme identified 3 sections that benefit citizens looking for work, namely: the "Kafaat" program, which works to develop the competence of national cadres through training programs in specialized sectors and internationally accredited professional certificates; and "Experience" which provides financial support to Emirati graduates participating in practical training programs. In companies, the private and semi-governmental sectors, and “Development of Medical and Health Sector Cadres”, which aims to develop national competencies in the medical and health field through paid scholarships.

The program "Development of Medical and Health Sector Cadres" aims to qualify 10,000 citizens in various fields of health care.

The second phase of the program targeted between 1,000 and 1,500 male and female citizens, allowing those enrolled to obtain scholarships and a monthly stipend.

The programme indicated that filing complaints on the website takes place according to 4 steps, starting with logging into the personal account and moving to the icon for submitting notes and complaints, then pressing the option to submit a complaint, then entering a description and category of the complaint with uploading any supporting documents, then pressing the option to send to transfer the complaint to the customer support team, which contacts the complainant via the same page to inform him of the appropriate action.
