VIDEO: 'Doctors opened my skull twice to see if I had a brain,’ jokes Biden

US President Joe Biden during at the International Federation of Firefighters tried to make some jokes about his health.

Biden was keen to talk about his gratitude for the role that firefighters played in his life.

Biden said firefighters saved him when he developed a cranial aneurysm in 1988, and also intervened when lightning caused a fire at his residence in Delaware in 2004, according to media reports.

Biden detailed how the fire company took him to Walter Reed, during a snowstorm so he could have surgery to repair the aneurysm.

Biden said, "I came back from a foreign trip and felt pain in my head. It was diagnosed that I had a strong headache. He joked, in both the cases, the doctors took off the top of my head twice, to see if I had a brain."

The US President continued his talk about the importance of firefighters in his life, before joking with those present: “You are all crazy, you are the only ones who jump into the fire, everyone runs away from it.”

Social media pioneers shared the video clip in which Joe Biden talked about doctors opening his head, amid sarcastic comments about the funny story.
