VIDEO: UAE to manufacture advanced Phenom UAV military helicopter for tactical missions

HelioTech, one of the latest investments of the Strategic Development Fund — the investment arm of the Tawazun Council — revealed the " Phenom UAV helicopter" with coaxial rotors capable of handling various multi-mission types including land and naval surveillance activities and tactical operations during the activities of the "IDEX 2023."

The two-ton Phenom unmanned vehicle (Phenomenon), with single-axis, is highly capable of performing a wide range of multiple missions, ranging from land and sea surveillance activities to tactical operations. Production of the aircraft is scheduled to begin at Helio Aviation Technologies (HelioTech) production and design center in Al Bateen Airport Abu Dhabi Free Zone by the end of 2026.

The company's stand at the Tawazun Council pavilion also displays a number of its other products designed for security purposes, which it develops in the non-civilian sector of the company, including the "HT005nu" aircraft, which is piloted with a vertical take-off and landing system and is characterized by capabilities for flying for long periods, with multiple configurations for various security and monitoring tasks, and the helicopter.

The Phenom is highly capable of performing a wide range of multiple missions

"HT130nu" is a medium-weight drone with single-axis that increases the efficiency of the aircraft.

Sultan Al-Kaabi, Senior Advisor at the Fund, said, “We are pleased to unveil “Phenom”, which is a wonderful addition to our non-civilian sector, as it has advanced and unique capabilities to meet the needs of multiple missions thanks to the advanced technology of single-axis helicopters. The unmanned aircraft was designed to accommodate payloads of different weights up to 800 kg, with performance capabilities and continuous flight for four hours for the regular model, and eight hours for the model with a spare fuel tank.

He added, “With the Phenom aircraft, our other products confirm our commitment to developing technologies for multiple security purposes, and we look forward to having these products have a large presence among our customers, as they meet their strategic and operational requirements.”

Phenom is designed to destroy enemy equipment and manpower from the air.
