Turkish civil defence members pulled a 45-year-old man alive from rubble almost 12 days after a devastating earthquake claimed thousands of lives in Turkey and Syria.
Teams are still looking for survivors all week in the freezing weather, even though their numbers have dropped to only a handful in the past few days.
The man, Hakan Yasinoglu, was rescued after 278 hours from rubble in the badly hit Hatay, a southern province close to the Syrian border.
Images on social media confirmed rescuers carrying the person amid the ruins of a flattened building.
He was tied to the stretcher to keep him from a fall, and blanketed with a golden thermal jacket.
He was moved to an ambulance and whisked away.
His face couldn't be seen.
Three human beings had been rescued in the early hours of Friday, together with a 14-year-old boy.
Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay stated that rescue efforts continued at fewer than 200 sites in the region.
The quake has killed over 45,000 people in Turkey and Syria, injured tens of hundreds of others and left thousands and thousands without homes and shelter in the freezing temperatures.
