President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan accepted condolences from His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and His Highness Sheikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, over the passing of Sheikha Maryam Bint Abdullah Bin Sulayem Al Falasi.

Sheikha Maryam was the mother of Her Highness Sheikha Salama Bint Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, the wife of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed.

Sheikh Mohamed also accepted condolences from Sheikhs and UAE citizens.

Accepting condolences along with Sheikh Mohamed were Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Shakhbut Bin Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of State; Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region; Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamdan Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President and Chairman of the Camel Racing Federation and Rear Admiral Pilot Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamdan Bin Mohamed Al Nahyan, Commander of the UAE Naval Forces, at the mourning majlis set up at the Al Mushrif Palace.

Everyone extended their heartfelt condolences and their sympathies to the family of the deceased, praying the Almighty God to grant her his mercy and forgiveness and to grant her family patience and solace.

The mourning majlis was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, Sheikh Suroor Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, and a number of Sheikhs and senior officials.

Sheikhs and sons of the deceased, as well as several UAE citizens, performed the funeral prayer for Sheikha Maryam at the Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed the First Mosque.

The body of the late Sheikha Maryam was then taken to its final resting place at Al Bateen Cemetery in Abu Dhabi.

Earlier during the day, the Presidential Court mourned the passing of Sheikha Maryam. 

The Court extends its heartfelt condolences and expresses its sympathies, praying the Almighty to bestow the deceased with his mercy and forgiveness and to grant her family and relatives patience and solace.
