Iraqi murders wife, claims she committed suicide

On Sunday, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of a man suspected of killing his wife in Diwaniyah Governorate of central Iraq.

The ministry said in a statement, “The Diwaniyah Governorate Police Command, represented by Afak Police Station, arrested a suspect who had killed his wife, after he claimed that she had committed suicide.”

The ministry added after interrogating the suspect, he confessed to having killed his wife with a llama gun, due to family disputes.

legal measures were taken against the murderer who was arrested in accordance with the provisions of Article 406 of premeditated murder law.
