Sultan approves Dhs61m for property owners affected by 'Khorfakkan Wall' project

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved an amount of Dhs61 million to compensate those whose properties were affected by a project to restore and maintain the historic “Khorfakkan Wall”.
Sheikh Sultan also approved the new names for some suburbs and neighborhoods in the city of Khorfakkan, including the "Al Awain" suburb.
This was announced by Mohammad Khalaf, on the “Direct Line” programme on Sharjah Radio and Television, explaining that the compensation would target 35 affected plots of land.
