The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has stated that four steps need to be taken for easy and smooth issuance of an entry permit to the UAE through the ICP’s website www.icp.gov.ae or its smart app UAE ICP.

These steps include registering and creating an account through UAE PASS or entering electronic services if you are already registered; choosing ‘issuing an entry permit’ service; submitting the application, reviewing and updating the retrieved data and paying the fees, and finally receiving the permit via the customer’s registered email, the ICP said.

Furthermore, a customer needs to take five steps to have residency data modified through the individual or corporate accounts or the typing offices via the ICP’s website www.icp.gov.ae or its smart app UAE ICP, it said.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security explained that a customer’s journey to have his residence data modified through the individual or corporate account requires him to log in to the account and create a new one, submit an application to have his residence data modified, attach service requirements, pay fees and guarantees, if any, and then send the application.

The application will then be checked by the ICP staff and an approval notice will finally be sent to the customer, it added.

To have his residency data modified through typing offices, a customer is required to visit an accredited typing office across the country, submit an application to have his residence data modified, attach service requirements, pay the fees and guarantees, if any, and then send the application, the ICP said.

Once received, the ICP staff will check the application before an approval notice is sent to the customer, it added.

To save their time and effort, the ICP called on all customers including citizens, residents and visitors, to take advantage of its electronic and smart services available on its website and smart app. as an alternative to visiting its customer service centres.

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security stressed the need for a customer to ensure that his ID number and expiry date in the renewal or replacement application as well as his data entered in the electronic form are correct before paying the fees in order to avoid delay in completing the transaction on time.

A customer must also ensure that his phone number, e-mail and delivery method as mentioned in the electronic form are correct, the ICP said, noting that all the inputted data are reviewed and checked by the ICP.
