Abu Dhabi Police airlift injured person from Madinat Zayed desert

The National Search and Rescue Centre (NSRC), in co-ordination with Abu Dhabi Police, on Monday carried out a medical evacuation mission in the Madinat Zayed desert of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for a man who sustained serious injuries after his glider had crashed while it was taking off.

Using the capabilities of their helicopter, the search and rescue team managed to transport the injured man from the site to Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City hospital for the necessary medical treatment.
