The UAE Public Prosecution (UAEPP) ordered to detain a manager of a private sector company, for falsely recruiting Emiratis in the company, forging electronic documents and issuing fake labour contracts.
The accused circumvented the Emiratization percentages in the company, so as to be eligible to receive the benefits and financial support from programmes allocated to citizens employed in the private sector, such as "Nafis" programme, the UAE PP said.
The crime is considered a fraud to unlawfully seize state funds and an offending of the labor law, and the controls set by the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, the UAE PP added.
The Attorney General had received a report of the incident from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, so he ordered an urgent investigation into the incident.
The information forwarded had been verified through the investigations and that the company's manager was found involved in falsely employing more than 40 citizens, with the help of some of his employees.
The Attorney General called on officials in the private sector companies to be up to the responsibility and to play their desired role in qualifying the Emirati cadres and developing their skills, in order to contribute to the economic development for the benefit of them and the UAE in general.
