Emirati killed in Ras Al Khaimah traffic accident, brother injured

Ras Al Khaimah Police and ambulance arrive at the accident site.

A 21-year-old Emirati man died, and his brother sustained moderate injuries in a collision that accured between their vehicle and a truck on Thursday morning on one of the roads in Ras Al Khaimah.

The accident, according to RAK Police, happened when the brothers’ car hit the truck from behind at high speed. It was also learnt that the duo didn’t leave sufficient safety distance and lost control.  

The police affirmed that their patrols and the national ambulance vehicle rushed to the scene of the accident, immediately after receiving the tip off, where the deceased and his injured brother were taken to the hospital.

The authorities handed the body of the deceased to his family for burial.

The injured bother was given necessary treatment at the hospital.

The police have urged motorists to exercise caution and comply with the speed limits and traffic signs displayed at roads to avoid such accidents.
