Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah National Day Celebrations Committee, said that the emirate is preparing to celebrate the annual National Day, which will include UAE citizens, residents and visitors.
On the occasion, he congratulated President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as the UAE’s citizens and residents.
In his statement to the Emirates News Agency, Al Midfa said that the annual celebrations organised by the committee are getting bigger every year. They are taking place in all cities of the emirate and are showcasing significant information about the UAE’s identity, history, culture and folklore, adding that they will be held from Nov.24 to Dec.3.
The celebrations will start in Mileiha and continue to the central cities, the Eastern Region and Al Hamriyah, concluding at Sharjah National Park, he added, pointing out that the committee is keen to hold the events on a sequential basis, so the public can attend them all. Â
MUSICAL SHOW
The first musical show will take place on Nov.26 in the Al Majaz Amphitheatre, with the participation of artists Latifa and Belqais while the second show will take place on Dec.3at the Khor Fakkan Amphitheatre, with the participation of Emirati artist, Eida Al Menhali, and artist Diana Haddad, he added, noting that the proceeds of the event will be dedicated to the Big Heart Foundation in Sharjah.
The Sharjah International Marine Sports Club will participate in the celebrations by organising marine activities along all coastal cities in the emirate, in addition to the Productive Families Exhibition. Sharjah’s government departments will take part in events at the Sharjah National Park, Al Midfa further said, calling on all citizens and residents to visit the committee’s website and social media accounts to learn about the times and locations of events
