We live in a world where bizarre incidents take place every day. One such event happened in the Indian city of Gurugram’s Palam Vihar area on Sunday evening.

The owners made all arrangements for this unconventional marriage ceremony after arranging a match between their pet dogs. An elaborate Hindu wedding ceremony of two pet dogs took place.

The owners of the former stray dog Sweety (female dog) were thrilled. Sweety was married to their neighbour’s pet dog Sheru (male dog).

Rani, the woman who raised Sweety, said: "I did not have children so my husband brought Sweety from a local temple 3 years ago and since then I have raised Sweety like her child."

"With this wedding, we now have the opportunity to perform a 'kanyadaan' like a Hindu ritual," she added.

Sheru’s owner Manita admitted to having a casual talk with the neighbours about the marriage of their dogs. Further, Manita confirmed that Sheru has been with them for the past eight years and is their child.
