Based on the directives of Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, the Ajman Police have announced a fifty per cent reduction in traffic fines from November 21, 2022 until January 1, 2023.

According to Major General Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, the reduction decision applies to all traffic violations committed in the Emirate of Ajman before November 11, 2022.

Concurrently, all vehicle impoundments and registered black traffic points will be cancelled with the exception of aggravated violations.

This is aimed at achieving the Ministry of Interior’s strategy to enhance road safety as part of the Ajman Police’s efforts to make all customers happy and to reduce the financial burdens on citizens and residents of the emirate.

Al Nuaimi explained that the aggravated violations excluded from the reduction decision include for drivers of light or heavy vehicles to drive recklessly in a way that jeopardises their own lives and those of others, and for truck drivers to overtake vehicles in a place where overtaking is prohibited.

The aggravated violations also include exceeding the speed limit of more than 80 km per hour, making changes to a vehicle without a licence and jumping the red light.

Al Nuaimi called on all vehicle owners to take advantage of the decision to pay the accumulated fines and to comply with traffic rules to ensure traffic safety.
