Khalaf Al Habtoor, Minister back future Emirati spouses

The renowned Emirati businessman, Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founder and Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, received Hessa Bint Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, at Al Habtoor Group premises to sign a memorandum of understanding on supporting young future Emirati spouses who are about to get married through the organisation of mass weddings.

The MoU comes as part of consolidating strategic partnership relations and activating social responsibility concept, in support of the visions and objectives of the Ministry of Community Development and the Group's endeavour to build and establish cohesive Emirati families, achieve family stability and community cohesion, motivate young people who are about to get married and enable them build a happy and stable married and family life.

The MoU coincides with the preparations for the first mass wedding which is organised by Al Habtoor Group in collaboration with the Ministry of Community Development on 13 November, 2022 for (100) young future spouses in the Emirate of Dubai while other mass weddings will be organised in the coming years as agreed between the two parties.

The Ministry of Community Development, in cooperation with Al Habtoor Group, seeks to support and motivate young Emirati citizens who are about to marry to participate in mass weddings, in order to consolidate the importance of their role in promoting family stability and rooted values in the inherited Emirati customs and traditions.

The MoU also seeks to enhance the participation of the private sector and the support of businessmen in the UAE for such social programmes and initiatives organised by the Ministry with the aim of achieving stability and cohesion among Emirati families. The MoU between the Ministry of Community Development and Al Habtoor Group has identified areas of cooperation on "Supporting Young Emirati future spouses where Al Habtoor Group, through the initiative of the renowned businessman Khalaf Ahmed Al Habtoor, will provide support to young Emirati men and women who are about to get married, through in-kind gifts to these future couples, organising a mass wedding with all its requirements in addition to gifts and offers from Al Habtoor Group to the new future spouses who will be participating in the mass wedding.
