Dubai airport prepares to receive 2.1 million passengers in 10 days

Dubai Airports expects that Dubai International Airport (DXB) will witness a noticeable increase in passenger traffic during the next ten days, coinciding with the mid-semester vacation.

Passenger numbers have witnessed a significant recovery, making this the busiest season since the epidemic.

According to Dubai Airports data, traffic is expected to reach about 2.1 million passengers through Dubai Airport between Oct.21 and 30, bringing the average daily number of passengers to 215,000 passengers to and from Dubai.

It is expected that the airport will witness a large movement in the number of passengers on October 30, receiving about 259,000 passengers, to be the busiest during the period.

Dubai Airports advised travellers to follow a set of tips to spend an enjoyable trip and have a smooth and comfortable travel experience during the upcoming holiday season, including:

• View the latest updates on the travel regulations and conditions at the destination you are travelling to, and ensure all necessary travel documents with the required validity before arriving at the airport.

• Children over the age of 12 can use the smart gates to speed up the passport control process, and enjoy a comfortable trip with their families.

• Passengers from Terminal 1 must arrive at the airport 3 hours before the plane's departure, in addition to completing travel procedures online to save time and effort.

• Take advantage of the self-service check-in options provided by Emirates Airlines in Terminal 3.

• Ensure the weight of bags and review travel documents before leaving the house to save time and complete all preparations before reaching the security inspection area.

• Use the Dubai Metro to get to and from the airport to avoid crowded traffic.

• Entry to the vehicle yard in the arrivals area of Terminal 3 is restricted to public transport and vehicles belonging to the relevant authorities.

• Family members and friends can use the designated car parks at the airport or valet parking to receive passengers with comfort and ease.
