Mosque under construction partially collapses in Abu Dhabi
Teams from Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence succeeded in evacuating and securing the site of a mosque under construction that was partially collapsed in Al Bateen area in Abu Dhabi.
The Command and Control Centre in Abu Dhabi Police’s Operations Department (Operations Room) received a report on Thursday, September 22, 2022 stating that the structure of a mosque under construction partially collapsed.
The response teams rushed to the scene where they started evacuating and securing the site and preventing workers from being exposed to any dangers.
As a result of the collapse, some workers sustained minor and moderate injuries and were taken to the hospital for the necessary medical treatment.
Investigations are still underway to find out how the site partially collapsed.
Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence stressed the need for people to obtain information from official authorities and reliable media sources and to avoid spreading or circulating rumours and false information.
