Heavy rain and hailstorm continued to lash separate areas of the UAE on Wednesday, for the second day in a row, as a result of the country being affected by a shallow air depression, accompanied by a weak air depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Light to moderate rains started to fall on Wadi Al Ajili in Ras Al Khaimah, at 2:30pm, while moderate rains fell on Mullaqat and Khat Al Shakla in the city of Al Ain, turning into heavy rains with hail over areas in Al Ain.

The lowest temperature over the country, 21°C, was recorded on Tuesday in Jebel Jais in RAK at 05:15am, UAE local time.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expected Thursday's weather to be generally clear with the appearance of low clouds in the morning on the eastern coast, and a chance of some convective rainy clouds in the east and south in the afternoon.
