A video of Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif struggling to put on an earphone at a bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin has gone viral and triggered inevitable laughter from the Russian leader.

The incident took place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

The video showed Sharif putting on an earpiece but it somehow falls off. The struggle becomes intense as Putin is eagerly seen looking at him so they could start the meeting.

The Pak premier had to call for help.

A microphone placed nearby catches Sharif saying, "Can somebody help?"

However, things didn’t end there… as the earphone fell off once again drawing an inevitable laugh from Putin.

Shireen Mazari, a member of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan's PTI party shared the video on Twitter.

Shireen Mazari said on Twitter, “… Even President Putin had to eventually just laugh at this clumsy man. Pathetic. This is what conspirators wanted? To have by design a politician who would not only be a crook but also a pathetic apology for a PM?”

Leaders of India, China, Russia and other SCO member states were in Samarkand for business and regional issues.

The SCO has eight member states.

Putin also met with the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, India and Turkmenistan as well as with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

With both Raisi and Sharif he said ties were "developing positively", while the Iranian leader told Putin that US-backed sanctions on both countries would only make their relationship "stronger."
