Escaped chimpanzee returns to Ukraine zoo after being given rain jacket and bicycle ride

A chimpanzee escaped from Kharkiv city zoo, raising panic among residents before being persuaded back to the zoo with a rain jacket.
Police and authorities said that a chimpanzee was seen wandering the streets of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, before being persuaded by a zoo employee to return home.
The primate was spotted walking near the city’s Freedom Square, near Kharkiv city zoo.
According to local news reports, the animal known as Chichi untangled the protective fence and easily opened the locks on the enclosure, and then went for a walk in the city.
Chichi was also offered some treats but what persuaded the chimp to return home was its favourite yellow rain jacket, followed by a hug from the zoo employee.
Despite the ongoing war, people of Ukraine have not lost their spirit and have funny stories.
A resident said the primate agreed to return to the zoo by bicycle.
