Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry died in a car accident in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Sunday.
According to local media, the accident happened near the accident near the village of Charoti when his car hit a road divider.
Police said Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai when his Mercedes car crashed at around 3:15 pm.
Police said four people were travelling in the car.
Two died instantly and two were injured.
The injured were transferred to a hospital in Gujarat.
Cyrus Mistry was born into a Parsi family in Mumbai. He is the youngest son of the late Indian billionaire and construction tycoon Pallonji Mistry.
