Sheikh Sultan approves 1,500 scholarships for students of AUS and UoS

On the direct line programme aired on Sharjah Radio and Television, His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, approved 1,000 scholarships for undergraduate students at the University of Sharjah (UoS) and American University of Sharjah (AUS).
It was also reported that over the next two days Sheikh Sultan will approve 500 additional scholarships at the two universities.
On August 9, Sheikh Sultan instructed the people concerned to give back the scholarships withdrawn from students, whose average was less than 2, numbering 2,233 male and female students in all majors at UoS and AUS.
In June, Sheikh Sultan chaired the meeting of the AUS Board of Trustees. During the meeting, the Sharjah Ruler and the AUS President were briefed on a number of the university’s achievements in various fields, praising the board for deepening their efforts to accelerate the university’s growth and following up the developing plans with the help of the university’s faculties and students.
In addition, His Highness adopted several decisions expediting the university.
