‘Keep dancing:’ Hillary Clinton backs beleaguered Finnish PM Sanna Marin

Former US presidential candidate and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has leant her personal support to Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin, who faced public ire for her taste for parties.
Clinton tweeted, "Keep dancing," boosting the morale of the young premier for being herself.
Clinton shared a photo of herself dancing with a smile on her face in a crowded club during a trip to Colombia in 2012 when she was still Secretary of State.
She wrote on Twitter, “As Ann Richards said, ‘Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.’
Here's me in Cartagena while I was there for a meeting as Secretary of State. Keep dancing, @marinsanna.”
The Finnish PM was quick to respond, tweeting back, "Thank you @Hillary Clinton," with a heart emoji.
A recently leaked video showed Marin dancing and partying with a group of friends and celebrities at her residence has put her in bad light.
Critics said he displayed behaviour inappropriate for a prime minister, while others and now Clinton defended the 36-year-old politician's right to enjoy a private event with friends.
Marin told members of her party that sometimes it was important to break free.
She told media, "I am human. And I also sometimes desire joy, light and fun in the midst of these dark clouds.”
Marin however has apologised for the video and underwent a drug test that came negative.
Clinton, 74, headed the State Department from 2009 to 2013 under president Barack Obama.
In 2016, she was the Democratic candidate for President of the United States.
Although heavily favoured, she lost to real estate mogul Donald Trump in a stunning upset.
