His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, affirmed that Emirati women are an essential partner in the march of our renaissance and the progress of our society.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said on Twitter, “Women in the UAE have always played a crucial role in our nation's journey. On Emirati Women's Day, we extend our gratitude to the women of the UAE for their exceptional achievements in a wide range of fields and unflinching dedication to the progress of our society and country.”

The UAE celebrates the Emirati Women's Day on Aug.28, which represents a national occasion to express pride in the outstanding achievements of Emirati woman and her pivotal role as a key partner in the development of society and in shaping the future.

The theme of this year's Emirati Women's Day "Inspiring Reality... Sustainable Future" was announced by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF).
