The batch is added to the series of previous donations from the Ruler of Sharjah to the university of books and scientific references in various fields of knowledge, which amount to nearly 24,000 books and electronic publications aimed at serving the scientific research community at the university.
The donated collection included hundreds of titles of books, sources and academic encyclopedias in the disciplines of language, history, Islamic studies, hadith, men's science, translations, jurisprudence, the sciences of the Noble Quran, interpretation, statutes, logic, beliefs, and other sciences.
Al Qasimia University provides all academics, researchers, scholars and visitors with access to these books in its various branches and benefit from it in conducting academic research by providing services for obtaining references, books, periodicals, research, viewing and lending, browsing global databases and search services.
The meeting dealt with the great interest of the Ruler of Sharjah in the environment, agriculture and wildlife, and its advancement in the Emirate of Sharjah.
In her speech, Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of the SPEA, expressed her thanks and appreciation to the Ruler of Sharjah for his unstinted support and interest in this project that provides training and empowers teachers in line with the highest quality standards.
During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan was briefed on a number of the AUS' achievements in various fields, praising the board for deepening their efforts to accelerate the university's growth and following up the developing plans with the help of the university's faculties and students.
Dr Sheikh Sultan stressed that the current and future projects in the Emirate of Sharjah in general, and in the Central Region in particular, have many positive returns and benefits for the region and its people.
Sources familiar with the details of the accident said that it occurred on Monday afternoon, as a result of a malfunction in the bus's brakes, which led it to collide with a bridge, according to local media.
Mariam Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the Arab League, represented the UAE during the signing ceremony.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to perpetuate the blessings of security and stability, and to revisit the fasting month with more goodness, progress, and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, “Today, I was briefed, accompanied by my brother, the President of the State, may God preserve him, on the ongoing preparations in the country to host the COP28 Conference of the Parties, in which 70,000 people from 198 countries are expected to participate. Our national team is ready. Protect the planet.”
