The ill-fated thief was caught by police and is in custody, according to Moroccan media.
The police in the Moroccan city of Salé intensified their investigations after the image of the "stop sign thief" was widely circulated on social media.
The police succeeded in identifying the thief, who was caught red-handed stealing another stop sign.
The police indicated that the thief is a 16-year-old minor, and he was placed under the supervision of the Public Prosecution to reveal the circumstances of the case, and to investigate the entire criminal acts attributed to him.
