The Dubai Police arrested a gang for stealing Dhs430,000 from 3 houses in Al Qusais at night while their owners were not at home, Brigadier Abdulhalim Al Hashemi, Director of Al Qusais Police Station in Dubai revealed.

He explained that the police station received 3 reports in a row from homeowners stating that they had been robbed while they were outside.

It was reported that unknown persons broke into three houses in Al Qusais area, and stole Dhs193,000, Dhs87,000, and Dhs150,000 from them.

All the thefts were committed by the same burglars as the criminal method was the same in each crime, Brigadier Abdulhalim Al Hashemi said.

A team of criminal investigation was able through the search and investigation to identity the perpetrators.

They were two Asians, who were lurking until owners of houses leave and then rob them, he added, noting that they had criminal activity in other places.

“Thanks to the high efficiency of the competent teams, they were able to reach and arrest the suspects in record time, and recover the stolen amounts,” Al Hashemi added.

“They confessed to the robberies, so they were referred to the Public Prosecution,” he added.

He called on members of the society to keep the large cash amounts and valuables in banks or in a safe place at home.

He also said that homeowners should leave the lights on to make thieves believe that they are inside.

He further pointed out that it is necessary to ensure the surveillance cameras in homes are operating properly, urging to install them in visible places for all people, and to ensure that the main doors of the house are well-closed.

In addition, he urged them not o disclose to any stranger their traveling time, while taking all precautionary measures.
