Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed speaks with emirati youth in Abu Dahbi.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, affirmed that the youth of the Emirates have proven their worth in all fields and have become a source of inspiration to others.

The UAE President made the statement on the occasion of the International Youth Day, which falls on Aug.12.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed said on Twitter, "The youth of the UAE inspire us more each day through their continued success in all fields. On International Youth Day, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering the young women and men of the UAE and place our trust in them to work hard and to lead our country into the future.”

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also praised the role of Emirati youth.

Sheikh Mohammed said, “The youth of the Emirates are the fuel of our renaissance... The youth of the Emirates are the guarantee of our future... The youth of the Emirates are the protectors of our home... Whoever bets on others is a loser... and whoever adheres to them is the winner.”

Shamma Bint Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab youth Centre (AYC), said the UAE believes in the youth and is enhancing its leading stature as a destination for life and work for young people.

In her statement, she stressed that in the UAE, every day is a youth day, and World youth Day is an opportunity to commemorate the country's achievements in youth development and empowerment.
