Pakistan Association Dubai offers medical screening tests for Dhs75 to all communities on Independence Day
Pakistan Medical Centre seeks to benefit the community with non-profit healthcare.
The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has unveiled a line of activities to celebrate Pakistan’s 75th Independence Day to spread a message of happiness and solidarity.
PAD has also announced a set of 47 primary health screening tests for only Dhs75.
The basic health screening with 47 tests include CBC, uric acid, diabetic screening with HBA1C, estimated blood glucose, liver screening with ALT, AST, GGT, alkaline phosphatase, total protein, total bilirubin, lipid profile and different kidney tests.
“Residents, regardless of their nationality, can avail of the newly announced medical tests at the Pakistan Medical Centre (PMC) once they register themselves till Aug.13.
This facility is part of our line of celebration with the Pakistani diaspora and will also bring other communities to avail of the group of medical tests for Dhs75. The same set of tests can be availed outside for more than Dhs500 but we are offering to benefit the community as part of our commitment of non-profit healthcare facility at PMC,” said Dr Faisal Ikram, president, PAD, while talking to Gulf Today.
The 3-day celebrations will be held between Aug.12-14 at its premises located in Oud Metha Dubai. The activities include an indoor cricket tournament, food festival and a number of fun activities for children of all ages to sing national songs and play different games.
“Being part of the Diamond Jubilee, celebrating 75 years of Independence and bringing all segments of our expatriate community together under the theme ‘Shaad Rahae Pakistan’... the activities will highlight the struggle and sacrifices in achieving the creation of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
An independence movement exhibition, schoolchildren tableaux, art and singing competitions, a magic show, comedy poetry, raffle draws, Azadi cricket tournament, special health packages, Pakistani food street along with a variety of cultural stalls have been planned,” Dr Faisal added.
Abu Bakar Imtiaz, director, sports at PAD, said that the cricket tournament has one of the most important segments of PAD’s Independence Day celebrations. “This year we have 16 teams participating in the Indoor Azadi Tournament.
The matches will be held on a league basis and the final will be played on Aug.14,” he said.
He further pointed that the cricket tournament has brought many fans from different nationalities under this banner and showcases remarkable harmony.
The officials vowed that the 3-day event would bring people from all walks of life, young and old, together to celebrate the achievements through the nation’s 75-year Journey since 1947.
As part of the Independence Day celebrations at the PAD, the community members have asked aspirants to send their entries of the national song with a recorded video via WhatsApp to 052 2616742 before Aug.10th. Those with the best three entries will get to sing live on Aug.14th at the Pakistan Auditorium in front of a huge gathering.
On the third day of the celebrations, a large gathering will be set to enjoy various live activities at the Pakistan Auditorium and the chief guest will be prominent satire poet Khalid Masood who will entertain the community members with his poetry.
