Heavy rain with hail witnessed in several areas of UAE for third day in a row

Rain of various intensity fell on Wednesday on separate areas across the UAE for the third consecutive day as a result of the country being affected by the fluctuating weather conditions in the north of the Arabian Peninsula. This will add to a rise in temperature and the formation of rainy clouds accompanied by lightning and thunder, which will continue until Thursday.
While light rain fell on Khatm Al Shiklah, moderate to heavy rains with hail fel on Al Ain and on separate areas in Al Hayer and Tabagh.
The lowest temperature of 24.9 degrees Celsius was registered on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 12:15 midnight, while the highest temperature of 47:4 degrees Celsius was registered in Suwaihan in Al Ain city at 2:15pm local time.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) called on the public to exercise extreme caution during heavy rains and strong winds from the cumulus clouds over some eastern areas, which might lead solid objects to fly and horizontal visibility to be lower. It also called on them to stay away from flooded valleys.
Thursday’s weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes with a chance for cumulus clouds to be formed in the afternoon over some eastern and southern areas, the NCM said. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will flow, turning to strong and sand-stirring sometimes at 20 to 30 and up to 45 km/h, while the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, it added.
Friday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general with a chance for cumulus clouds in the eastern areas in the afternoon, it said. Light to moderate northwesterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to strong and sand-stirring at 15 to 25 and up to 40 km/h, will the sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, it added.
Saturday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy in general, while clouds will appear in the east, possibly turning to cumulus clouds in the afternoon. Light to moderate southeasterly to northeasterly winds will blow, turning to strong sometimes at 15 to 25 and up to 35 km/h.
The sea will have regular waves in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
