Civil Defence teams of Sharjah controlled a fire which gutted two warehouses for spare parts in Industrial Area 4, without causing any injuries.
An official source stated that the Operations Room of the Civil Defence Department in Sharjah received a tipoff at 11:19 am alerting that a fire broke out in Industrial Area 4.
Instantly on receiving the tipoff, the Civil Defence vehicles rushed to the scene from Al Mina and Samnan centres, and Al Nahda point, along with the national ambulance.
The source pointed out that as soon as the Civil Defence teams reached the scene, firefighters started dealing with the incident by evacuating the site and quelling the flames, until they controlled the fire completely in a short time, without any casualties, but the site was damaged as a result of the fire. The source pointed out that the billowing smoke was caused by the burning of some flammable spare parts.
The Civil Defence teams continued cooling the site to prevent the recurrence of flames, in preparation for handing it over to the competent authority, to investigate and determine the reasons for the fire.
A quick thinking school bus driver notified the police about the fire.
Sharjah Civil Defense teams were dispatched to the site.
The Civil Defence teams and police patrols were able to bring under control a fire that broke out in four furniture warehouses in Al Jurf Industrial Area in Ajman. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
