The Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal ruled that it is not allowed to appeal a preliminary verdict rejecting a lawsuit filed by a husband against his wife, demanding her to pay him Dhs50,000 in compensation after he was acquitted of accusing him of seizing two cars belonging to her.

The details of the case date back to an earlier time when the husband filed a lawsuit demanding that his wife pay him Dhs50,000 in compensation for him after she informed the police that he had stolen her two cars, indicating that the misdemeanour court had acquitted him.

On the other hand, the wife demanded that the lawsuit be rejected, pointing out that she used her right to report the incident of stealing her cars, which was true and her report was not proven to be false.

The Court of First Instance dismissed the case and obligated the husband to pay the fees and expenses, so the husband appealed the ruling, pointing out that his wife filed her lawsuit with the aim of harming him and did not take into account his cancer or the marital relationship between them.
